Happy Monday everyone! 86 years ago today, Franklin Delano Roosevelt was inaugurated as the 32nd president of the United States.
1. BGSA Social Night
We have another BGSA happy hour on March 20th 5PM in the Martha Crago Lounge of Thomson House (the first room on the left when you walk in).
We’ll have beer, nachos, AND you’ll get to meet the candidates running for election for 2019-2020. You’ll be able to signup for BGSA positions, let us know in what ways you’d like to be involved, get to know what’s available, and just hang out.
2. Save the Dates!
Also, this year’s Spring Gala will take place on May 17th in the atrium of Bellini. Stay tuned for more info!
3. Coffee Hour Postponed
Coffee hour will be the 13th instead of the 6th. Have a good reading week!
Enjoy the sun!
Fun fact of the week – “Everyone hates mosquitoes, but do you hate them enough to spend your life’s work trying to eradicate them? In February, scientists started releasing genetically engineered mosquitoes in a high-security laboratory in Terni, Italy. … The engineered insects carry a genetic mutation that is lethal to its species. And that could turn out to be a potent weapon in the war against malaria.”
Science joke of the week – What’s the difference between a dog and a marine biologist? One wags a tail while the other tags a whale.
