2. Staff Appreciation Potluck
It’s that time of year again, for us to show our appreciation for our fantastic staff! Let’s thank them for all their support they provide throughout our degrees with some delicious food at the annual potluck lunch, this May 15th at noon in the break room on the 8th floor of Stewart Biology. 3. Graduate Equity Networking Event
The PGSS Equity and Diversity Committee in collaboration with the Chemical Engineering Equity & Diversity Committee are hosting a networking event (with food!!) on May 6, 5-7 PM at the Thomson House Restaurant (basement) to bring together graduate students interested in contributing to social equity initiatives on campus. The aim of this event is to get to know individuals and groups working on equity initiatives and better understanding social equity and how it is relevant to graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. 4. IHSP Graduate Award ProgramAre you a graduate or doctoral student who’d like more experience in bridging the gap between research and practice? The Institute for Health and Social Policy (IHSP) is currently accepting applications for our 2019-20 Graduate Award Program! This program is for outstanding graduate students whose current or proposed dissertation topics are interdisciplinary and connected to understanding how social conditions impact population health and welfare. The program spans the entire academic year and students are awarded $4000 for their participation.
